Rainforest Cafe, Seattle WA
Seattle has a Rainforest. Cafe, that is. Rainforest Cafe is a themed restaurant with low lighting highlighted by large fish tanks and a jungle atmosphere.
We visited and had no problems ordering gluten free. The waiter suggested I call ahead to be sure they have something to prepare.
Translated to what this actually means is: Call ahead to make sure the chef in charge when you are visiting is the chef who is versed in gluten intolerance. We have visited this restaurant in the past where it was difficult to eat because the chef in charge didn’t know what what was safe and what was not safe. The last several times we visited, the staff had it right. I’m guessing everybody has had some allergy training.
I had the trio. It was good. I’d likely return again. My plate looked strikingly similar to the table card. Not every restaurant is able to pull that off.
Someday I’d like to order the ‘Volcano’ when they decide to make a gluten free version.
